This beauty here is a W140 S-class wagon ( S wagon, get it?!), the S73 T Kombi. Some won't give it a second look. Some might meh at it, and tell how their wide body 323i would smoke it. Others might love it at first sight, knowing its a W140 wagon, a sexy wagony oddity. They might even ogle at it. And they should.

If you are lucky enough to see one, be sure feast upon it's long, useful curves, those black rims, and the specialty of this car. You probably won't see another one, ever. 18 of these were built, 10 of which went directly to the Sultan of Brunei. (I'm sure he has to move lots of stuff and fast. Comfortably.)

Kinja'd!!!

Comfortably, in 90's style. Notice the steering wheel on the wrong side.

This leaves us with 8 cars remaining and out of those, AMG has 3 and this leaves us with 5, probably hidden somewhere in an obscure super villain underground lair, someplace you probably have never heard of. But I'm sure some will end up for sale sooner or later. Nobody can keep a car forever! And it would be a crime against mankind to keep such a beautiful machine behind closed doors! And being a super villain is crazy expensive.

So, the first thing you will notice about this car is how black it is, even the rims are very black and AMGey and as we all know, black usually means fast. Or business. In this case it's both. And in order to be fast you need to have a light car or a powerful car, and this being a Mercedes it must be the latter. So what sort of power is this car making? Nothing short of incredible, although I'm sure not incredible enough to impress the said 323i owner.

Kinja'd!!!

A rare-sight in your rear view mirror. Sweet Bentley and hypercar garage!

In fact, the 7.3 liter V12 AMG engine, which is also found in the Pagani Zonda, produces 525 horsepower. Around 700 to 750 N·m (550 lb·ft) of torque. That's modern supercar power in a 15 years old wagon. What could you possibly want apart from this?

Kinja'd!!!

A 0-60 mph figure what I'd estimate at below 5 seconds. Top speed is most likely over 180 mph. (I base these figures on the contemporary S600, which with less power and less torque managed a very impressive 0-62 figure of 5.5 seconds and a top speed of 172 mph.) Those numbers are by no means a joke today, and back in the day they were even more impressive. It is not much slower than it's modern day counterpart, the S65 AMG. This, for almost a 20 years old car, is fabulous, even more so for a wagon. I mean, S wagon.

Man, being the Sultan of Brunei must be sweet sweet stuff.

Kinja'd!!!

Somewhat a more common sight of this black, metal beast. Sweet NSX!

Kinja'd!!!

A bad, higher resolution take on this sex monster. Those wheels mean business.

Kinja'd!!!

Subtle, yet powerful. Very powerful. Those plants need watering.

So guys what do you think; is this the ultimate Jalopnik/Oppositelock wet dream?

So my E-wagon has two big brothers; one (maybe a half-brother?) he never knew he had!

First of all: I would dragon it so hard .

Second: No, it can't be Oppo's wet dream unless it was brown, diesel, and a manual.

I had posted about this one a while back!

They apparently made more than 10 of these, and 3 would still be owned by AMG themselves. One popped on car ads websites a couple of years ago.

Regarding performance figures, you can probably assume them to be similar to the SL73AMG. It was -supposedly- a tad lighter but "only" has 525hp.

If it could magically be under 3000lbs and have a real manual then it would be my idea of ultimate... or at least in the top 3.

Interesting car, but you can keep the wheels.
