I was completely over Rae (my ex) and actually planning on meeting up with her tomorrow to catch up. Then I did a little Facebook stalking to see if she might have ulterior motives or something, because it just seemed odd that she was suddenly dying to see me after almost a year of no contact, but I saw something else. On September 10th, her boyfriend posted "Happy 6-Month Anniversary" to her wall. So, they've been dating since March 10th. Okay. Well, Rae dumped me the Thursday after Momocon this year. A quick Google search reveals that Momocon was from March 8th-10th. So she dumped me on the 14th, and has been dating this insufferable douchebag since the 10th??

I have no words.

If you need me, I'll punching holes in the wall.

She's not anymore (she did have my jacket at first, but I got it back.... Missing several of my pins, including a vintage political one. I won't say what the content of the pin was because politics, but the point is it was from some time in the '70s and it's not even worth the effort to track down another. I tried to get her to do that and she insisted that the pin never existed in the first place.

Ehh, I knew something was fishy when the two of them were "Facebook official" just two days after she dumped me. I figured she was just being stupid and throwing herself at the first guy who didn't mind her smoking, but this makes more sense now.

I tried the whole being friends with exes thing...in the end, there's a reason they're your ex.

One dumped me because her friends said "she wasn't happy." I dumped the one after that because she didn't know how to relax/be happy. My current ladyfriend is happy as can be with our relationship.

The best thing for you to do is just be happy. If you're truly over her, you're over her. I'm not sure you are if you're kicking yourself over this. Not your fault, just hers. Just keep on rolling and blow her off. I can't stand the facebook stalking crap. I recently unblocked the ex that dumped me, but that's all. No friending or anything, I'm just done with it. I don't ever want to see her ever again. She lied to me about things that she knew damn well I'd dump her over in an instant. Well, I found out from someone else months later what had really happened. In the end, I'm in a better place because of it.

You're in a better place without someone who's so willing to cheat on you, and that's as far as it has to go. Don't meet up with her, you don't need that. Sometimes you can be friends with an ex, sometimes you can't. This sounds like the latter. Your best revenge is saving your knuckles for busting on a car instead, and just being happy that you're in a better place. Have a beer for me (I don't drink) and get some sleep. You've been doing fine without her, and you can keep on keeping on without her.

As someone who needlessly tortured myself for wwaaayyyy too long over a shitty breakup. Take my advice.

Erase her from your life, memory, everything. Only thing that makes everything better is the next time your with a girl and realize how fun it is and how you can feel the way you did before for someone else. Once that moment hits you, its the freshest breath of fresh air you'll ever savor.

I've actually been on a few very promising dates since her. And it did feel amazing. At least until the morning came and I discovered that their intentions weren't quite what I had hoped.... Oh well...
