A Moto GP 2013 Game. And i think i would love to share a bit of small review of it.
First of all, It's made by Milestone, the same guy behind the WRC game. In fact, it's uses the same game engine. To be honest, the graphics are not bad. The bikes and it's riders are nicely detailed. But the rest is, umm..
Just look at that pre-race menu. And that mechanic. It's quite bad.
But if you're looking a lightweight bike racing simulation, Moto GP 2013 is a nice one. The handling is good, when you master it. You can race the whole race and in fact, you can ride through the whole weekend (Practice, Qualifying, and Race), if you have some time to spend. There's also random breakdowns, if you're unlucky. There's also massive variations of helmets and riding gears and such. You can even change your riding style. And best of all it can run very smoothly on my laptop, which is only equipped with Core i5 Haswell ULV and Intel HD 4200.
The worst part?
This game is a good bike simulation. But unlike car racing, where you can throw a steering and some pedals to make it more realistic, I'm not sure i want to throw some kind of bike body to make it more realistic. Especially everytime i saw that poor, badly rendered people. It's looks like he just lifted from PS2. And there's no way to adjust the control sensitivity, so maybe some beginners like me is keeps on crashing for the whole first day.
So, should you buy it?
Well, it's up to you. If you need a bike racing simulation game, i think this one comes quite close to it. But it's not as addicting as car racing game. Or maybe that's because i'm more into cars than bikes.
*Anyway, because a local game store in my town is now having a Christmas sale most of their unpopular game like one of those or Race 07 is priced for 1.6 bucks each. So if you have a suggestion for a great but quite unpopular racing game, please tell me.
