On a serious note, DO NOT WATER BLADE!
When drying, any dirt left behind which can happen, is just gonna get dragged across and you can undo all the washing you just did and increase your polishing/waxing time for nothing.
Take a micro fiber, get it slightly damp, wring out excess, then use that. Its weird and backwards, but that lifts up the remaining dirt and water better without risking any further clear coat scratches.

Time > quality of work. Unfortunately that's the way it goes sometimes. I wipe the blade after every stroke, but it's just so much quicker to use the blade. On my own car I'm more careful.
