We have all seen the YouTube videos of table top engines running. They're typically amazing feats of miniaturization and engineering. Some seek to reproduce famous engines, or retain that V8 rumble we all love, but this tiny little V12 is another thing entirely. This video was posted in 2011, and with nearly 7 million hits, I'm amazed I hadn't seen it before. Not only is this a video of the worlds smallest V12, but it follows the entire assembly and machining of many of the parts. The creation of the crankshaft was, by itself, amazing, but watching this thing go together and then run was absolutely flabbergasting. This tiny little engine is not only a technical achievement, but truly a work of art. You have GOT to check out this video...

I could imagine trying to explain to the wife that you've spent the last 300 hours working on something, and when you show it to her she's like "meh, it moves a little".
