1990, so it's a 1.6L rather than a 1.8L, but that's not a huge deal and I can always replace it with a VVT 1.8L later on. The few mods on it are things I would have done myself, though KYB isn't who I would have gone with personally for shocks, they aren't horrible and will work fine until they die. Hadn't heard of the brand of exhaust it has, but after listening to clips on youtube it sounds just fine , and if it bugs me I can always remove it, and sell it of to make up the difference for a different system. The chrome hoops will get removed and sold to help make up the difference for a Hard Dog unit that's beefier....and taller. I love the look of the JDM spec 3 spoke wheel, and the rest of the car looks to be in great condition. The only thing I'm debating on is if I should buy 1 new Panasport wheel, or sell the 3 and buy a set of RPF-1's in 15". All in all looks like a god starting point and for a fair price (bordering on great price provided the hard top is included in the $3100).

What do y'all think Oppo, is there anything here that I'm not seeing? And yes I will be taking the car to a mech to have it looked over before I buy.

its okay, but I still thinks its priced alittle too high, I would post it on miata.net with only the pictures and not the link (as people will buy it from right under you if it's truly a great deal *wink wink* )

Do you really want to buy a car with a perm trunk rack? look into the clutch....I would personally not pay anything more than 2k for it, especially if its freaking riding on a spare tire!

Dat OEM hardtop. I like it. Maybe you could talk him/her down a few hundred and this car would be perfect.

It looks like a full size steelie, but if it's an actual spare I agree completely. It's worth having a look for the rest of it. Wheels are easy to fix, and on the Miata, pretty cheap to do so as well.

Asumming you live in tx, I would reccomend going with this place, http://www.funcarsforsale.com/

The pricing is MORE than reasonable for their specialties with miatas

If I lived down south, I would purchase a miata from them...but I can't :-(

this sold for only a few hundred dollars more than this "mis-match" tuner special, no offense :-(

Oh I'll definitely try, no harm in that after all.

No offense taken, I'm just considering that the car will wind up getting modded and thrashed on a track anyway, it's honestly what I'm buying it for. I am in TX, specifically Houston, the only down side to the one you posted is that it's a bit over 4hrs away, that said, I'm definitely giving their inventory a look through.

Ugh, get it. The hardtop alone could go for $1000, from what I've seen priced in my area.
