On my way home from work I find out that my dog attacked an off leash dog that wandered onto our property.
My fiancee was sleeping at the time and somehow our sliding door opened to let them out.
The dogs owner came, scolded my fiancee and left. Then she got my 11 year old son to round up the other puppy who got away. The dog owner intercepted him and started dropping f-bombs threatening to kill both of his dogs. Yes, to an 11year old, a week before Christmas. One of our neighbours caught the puppy and was bringing him home when she witnessed this. She reemed him out for yelling at an eleven year old, to which he replied, "the hell was I supposed to know, that kid is massive"
What the fuck mate?
Yes my kid is tall for his age. That does not justify your reaction. That makes shit way worse as that same boy has self confidence issues over his size.
When I got home, I started damage control, helping comforted my son, then went over and tried to talk to the guy. I am not a rage case, I went over, calmly asked how his dog was doing, to which he replied the dog was fine. I then pointed out how a couple weeks ago his garage door was left open and his dog came and attacked my dogs.
He was silent, I explained to him that I knew his dog was the biggest suck and a really nice dog. But dogs are territorial, and if you are an unwelcomed guest in their space, they can be very different beasts.
He mumbled about his garage door sensor being frozen and that he fixed it.
I then brought up how he treated my son. Again he responded by insulting my son to my face, as well as insulting the neighbour lady who saved him, calling her the craziest c*nt he had ever seen.
I was taken aback, I told him to forget it, I tried reasoning with him for an apology and to see how his dog was. I walked off and called the cops for threatening to kill my animals and verbally abusing my son.

Well done. Sometimes people are just assholes. I have been in that situation before with a neighbor screaming at me while her dog had me and my dog cornered in my yard. Needless to say, I flipped shit and then called the cops.

"The bigger person" is a great example to set.
Good job.
