Dear God. The want, my pants, my brain...it's all too much. Manged to find this relatively full-size example, and my day is made.

I can't help thinking that one would need a special license or training to pilot a vehicle where the steering wheel is ~5 in front of the front steered wheel.
Doesn't make me want it any less though.

Good God yes. I want one right now.
I'm thinking it's a Giulietta Spider, but I'm not certain.

You think so? I thought that for a moment, but the rear end is unlike any Giulietta I've seen; it's very E-Type/AC Cobra-esque, but I can't place it in the least.

I thought there was something slightly off with it. Maybe it's not a Giulietta.
Alfa Barchetta Sport?

I think you may have nailed it.

God I'm an Alfa geek :)

What a gorgeous thing.
Of course, it being a very, very rare Barchetta Sport rather than a simply uncommon Giulietta Spider rather reduces my chances of getting one.

Last one I can find on market had an ask of 250.000 euros. So, uh...yeah, about that.

And that's a goddamned wonderful thing! I was about to start my journey down the rabbit hole that is the internet in search of an answer when you hit on this, so my work productivity thanks you.

Ah. Maybe not then :(

Hey, it's important to dream on the off-chance that you stumble into some money, right?
Plus, I don't see anything that a transaxle chassis + pounding out some custom bodywork by hand couldn't fix...

"Plus, I don't see anything that a transaxle chassis + pounding out some custom bodywork by hand couldn't fix..."
That's my plan to acquire a 2600 Zagato. How did you know?

Alfintuition?
In related news, I think my time with my Milano may be coming to an end, unfortunately. Just not driving it enough and don't have the space to properly store it and work on it enough. However, on the plus side, the plan is to replace it with a proper 105/115 when garage space becomes a reality, which will hopefully be sooner than later.
I won't mention that the plan also involves dailying a 964 911, given your attitude towards them ;)

Sad times. Still, better to sell on than have it rot in the corner of a field. We've done that and all it does is cause lots of work later on :S
Sweet with the 105/115. Are you thinking full-bore 2.0l, or is it too early days to tell?
I actually rather like the 911. They're one of the more interesting (and continually interesting) cars that you can buy, and I love engineering interestingness. They sound utterly brilliant, and are proper hairy chested man's cars. What pisses me off is every video I see that describes passion for classic cars and then implies that it's unique to Porsches.
I wouldn't own one, but I do give a thumbs-up to every classic one I see on the road :)

Way too early to tell, but I have ideas. It mostly depends on the condition of the car I grab; anything particularly nice already and I'll probably leave it as is, but if I find something driver-quality that has a few simple needs and is a touch rough around the edges, I may go a bit nuts. We'll see.
Found more info on the car pictured above, and it turns out that we weren't the first to think about a replica, as the car above likely isn't authentic:

Sweet :) that tube-frame looks eminently buildable actually, although it would most likely be one of the inner circles of PCH.
