Yeah, I did the same last night. There nothing wrong with the current way we do comments, so please stop messing with it. the new version is a revamp of the previous system where each comment is its own dedicated thread so shit get complex really fast. Simple = good, I wish Denton would understand this.

If this shit becomes the default...our only hope is a modern version of the old Kotaku fix or similar...these guys are worse about screwing around with stuff than the asshats at Facebook.

Unless I'm missing something, not much has really changed. There are still individual comments to reply to, and those with multiple replies are indicated by a reply count and that list of avatars they are obsessed with, avatars that are basically too small to see. What's missing is the dark bar that easily separates comment threads, and the two or three comment preview of a longer thread. I liked that, since I could get a good idea of whether or not to take the time to click the thread.

I'm fulfilling my passive aggressive bitching quota damnit!
But I like that they're rolling it out optionally for now so we can get used to it. I've been using the new post composer/editor thing for a while now, I love it. Haven't switched back from that.
