The bowtie these days is too big, too gold and too ostentatious. It's not befitting of GM's value brand

I would love it if they went back to the '90s design and placed understated, sometimes just outlines of bowties on their vehicles

I had a black 91 z24, it had the red outline bowtie. way better than the full gold bowtie

Yes, I like that one. The bowtie seems to have grown and the gold is obnoxious. My front and back bowties are covered in black vinyl, which helps, but if you look at the sonic vs the barina, the grill actually forms around the bowtie on the sonic, accentuating the hugeness.

I have a sliver Aveo and the gold bowtie that it came with was perfect size, but just wrong. I plasti-dipped it so now it's a matte black on the front and back. Looks awesome!

I have an early 70s Camaro and I don't think there is a bowtie anywhere on the car. All of the emblems say "Camaro" in script. I wonder what marketing "genius" decided that they needed to have the cars emulate the look of the trucks. They probably got paid millions for that.

I think it might be the metallic paint and dramatic lighting and plenty of Photoshop work after the fact that make the top guy look better.

The whole snout of the Barina is more attractive. It moves the focal point of the front end from the bar in the middle to the more conventional upper grille.

The editing of the picture certainly helps and yes, it would be okay if on the Barina it was a bowtie instead of the holden logo, but up in the upper grill instead of intruding on both grills.

Also the rings around the headlights on the Barina are red.
