All I know is that I WANT IT. I NEEDS IT. (No really, I've had every Anchor Christmas Ale going back a decade).

An ale distillate? Weird but intriguing. Craft brewers here seem to have been jumping on the pot still train as of late. Ballast Point makes some really nice stuff. Sells at our Costcos here. I've tried their rum so far (not a gin guy) and am planning to try their bourbon next.

Rouge did a whiskey distilled from Dead Guy wort. It was ok. Distillation is a natural progression for breweries as they already have most of the equipment. I'd venture to say that you don't see this more often because of the regulation involved.

Shit, I wish I had known about this yesterday, I'd have grabbed a bottle or two and checked a bag on my flight back from SF.

Sorry. Yeah I was in Cali a week and a half ago. I would have scoured shelves and called around for it myself.

I'll see if my neighbor can get a line. Anchor's like walking distance.
