And in case you have the preconceived notion of the hummer as a fashion accessory with 48' rims, watch this.

I still don't care for the H1. Looking like a member of the US Army is dangerous in certain parts of the world.

Err this seems heavily one sided, thats like asking if you would want a miata or a lambo. 100k vs 500k?

Good enough for the Army is good enough for me.

Look, I'f im going to drive around in something akin to a bank vault with wheels, the least I could hope for is that it will keep working 100 miles from nowhere. H1 it is.

Nothing like excess. Why have 4 wheels when you can have 6?

Ah that's right - the Alpha was the fanciest one you could buy!

The alpha was the hotness. Could actually go freeway speeds, wouldn't deafen you, got double digit mileage;Wins all around.

So is looking like you have money to spare or pay for ransom. Either way I think you are losing if your rolling around in the wrong part of town.

I normally would agree, but at least I can turn the H1 around with a 52 point U-turn. that MB is gonna be like a 672,983 point U-turn.
Unless of course you just run over whateverthefuq you want with either one of them and turn around whereverthefuq you want. Then either is good.

My Willys does all the above except the non-deafening part. Gotta work on that.

Tough call. A 6x6 is a childhood dream come true. But I'm going to have to go with the hummer on this one because nothing screams freedom better than a H1 hummer.
I'll use the money I save to buy a surplus deuce and a half - a real 6x6.

My inner 6 year old knows no concept of "turning around".

I thought it would be too but the poll begs to differ.

The Alpha as long as I can get the wagon version.

The thing with the Alpha is that with the Duramax, you can get way more power out of it. Then it would be faster, more economical, and probably more reliable.

If were going for offroadability, the Hummer wins hands down. I never saw it as a rich man's accessory although I've seen plenty of them on the road in LA with chrome wheels (which makes me very angry). It is the ultimate rendition of form following function to me. What a machine.
