This !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is scrapped, if you can believe it. What a waste. Heck, it's in prettier shape than my car. Maybe the engine's bad, or the tranny's shot, or something fairly major, but with a body as nice as that, can't it be swapped out?

The only thing I could gather would be frame rust/rot. Nothing else makes sense. From the pic, that paint looks in darn good shape.

If it was the v12, I'd understand, as there are approximately 1,453,686 different things to go wrong. But, a v8...

Would it be a major undertaking to swap out a V12 for a V8?

That would be one hell of a parts car though, for a current E32 owner. But yeah, if no frame rot, what is the reason for scrapping it?

I hate that. The number of Jags in better condition than mine that I've pulled parts from is heartbreaking.

It's illegal in most states to purchase an entire vehicle once it's been relegated to a parts yard.

Can you buy it bit by bit?

Can you buy it bit by bit?
An expensive but valid assertion.

Not the chassis or frame, unfortunately.

Probably would, even if it's just swapping a shot engine for another of the same engine, it's still a lot of work

Maybe. It would be easier to buy a v8 model and swap over any v12 bits you want. The issue with the v12 is that it basically has two computers for everything that the v8 model has one. Think p38 range rover type stuff. Complicated, expensive, and not that reliable.
