My name is Alex, and I am a newly-wed, seminary student in Texas. I was a military kid who moved all over the country, but went to the right school: The University of Alabama. There, I met my beautiful wife, and made it official. My dad was a pro motorcycle drag racer, and motocrosser back in the day. His first two cars were a '64 and '66 GTO's, followed by many other muscle cars. So I come by my passion honestly (although, where my dad stopped at american muscle, I kept expanding my horizons). I grew up working on street/drag cars with him, and learned to drive stick on a heavily modified 90's cobra mustang when I was 14. Anyway, I spent my life saving for my first car, which was a Lexus IS300. I supercharged it as well as some other things and really learned a lot from modifying my own DD. Now, I own a '96 Miata that I really enjoy. My biggest win has certainly come from my wife's support for my love of cars. Some day, I would love to continue to build this into the ultimate road-going (not track rat) expression of what I would want in a Roadster (maybe some boost?). But a ground-up resto-mod of some sort is what I really want to do some day. We will see. Anyway, I consider myself an automotive enthusiast that genuinely appreciates cars from all rolls of life, and someone who loves getting to know people. I love playing football and hockey, and also enjoy learning about photography. If I ever built a car to tear up racing, it would absolutely be offroad/rally spec. Any chance I get to flog a side-by-side, or anything of the sort, I'm there. I am training to be a Christian Counselor, and hope to help families in any way I can: especially pre-marriage counseling, and relationships between fathers and children. I haven't read too many other intro's so hopefully that's what you guys wanted.
