I'm 31, married, work for a Lexus dealer as a Product/Delivery Specialist. I teach people how to use all the technology in their new Lexus vehicles.
I DD an 02 SVT Focus (number 85); 100400k. I just replaced the clutch, shifter bushings and linkages, and trans fluid. It's also got an aftermarket exhaust.
We also own a 1994 Dodge Dakota we bought off CL. 152000k, 2WD, Auto, Ext Cab, 3.9L V6. I had to replace the driver-side seat-belt assembly, have a shop find and fix a loose/broken wire under the fuse box, and I put 2 new tires on it. Aside from the sagging headliner, it's not terrible.
My wife's car is a 2008 Saturn Astra 5-door XR, 5-speed, with the ginormous moon roof. It runs and does well on gas. We take it for our long drives, and I hate driving it. As soon as it's paid off, I want to find her something else.
I collect Hotwheels, and have about 250.
I don't post here all the frequently, hence the name.

How did you get your job? I've been thinking about how much I'd like to work for any manufacturer in just about any capacity, even if it involves teaching Japanese technology to old white people.

I found it on one of the typical online job search sites.
If you're at all good with people, start asking about things like this at any of the luxury car dealers in your area. Almost all of them are starting to implement these types of positions.

That's cool. Man, good thing I never bought a Lexus, I probably couldn't even drive the thing, I would be like "what's this do dad do? and this one? and this one? and then I'd be so mesmerized gby watching the rear view camera, I'd hit something.

Also, teach Japanese technology to old white people is very often one of the most frustrating things one can do.
I have the mind to start calling Sirius/XM "Space Radio" so that some people can comprehend the difference between it an AM/FM.
Sigh...

Welcome! How do you like your job? I'm tired of sitting in an office with the same people everyday, and I always dream about quitting to go work at a dealer doing online sales/marketing. Never thought about a delivery specialist. I'm sure lots of people need a tech demonstration before driving away (especially if their previous car is more than 5 years old).
