So I was installing a roof rack on my truck today and one of the bolts flew away in the bag it was in (harsh winds today). I'm sad. Time to go to home depot to find a replacement.

If you haven't already gone and gotten a replacement, Ace hardware sells bolts, screws, nuts, etc by the individual amount. I always go there first when I need a handful or less of a type of screw or what have you.

Hopefully it was a standard size kinda bolt. I know my girlfriend lost an M9 bolt for her fishing rod. M9 isn't a type of bolt, you can find in home depot, or anywhere. Had to ask tradesmen for a recommendation for a specialty fasteners store.

If it is metric and/or stainless, I wouldn't bother. They never carry what I need. mcmastercarr.com is where its at.

After posting this I realized this as well. The local hardware store has awesome grade A stuff. I'll go there. If they don't have it, I'll try out that website, thanks!

Thanks for the recommendation! The nearest ace is far away, we do have a local hardware store that should have one.

It's standard size. Thankfully. I know how frustrating an awkward size can be. I bought these horrible Chinese made turnbuckles and had all of the bolts fail on me. Went to three hardware stores to find em. Used grade 8 cause I was so pissed, haha.
