At least it's not Windows 8.

I'll be impressed when it's running DOS 3.0.

They would have to be nuts not to. A lot of people would buy it again for the pc experience. I'm certain they'll release it, it's just a matter of when.

My brother, who is a Windows-only guy, said that his MPB is the best Windows laptop he ever had.

That a W530 hackintosh?
I have a W530 also, but just run Windows 7 on it

I consider it a partial Hackintosh. I have OS X running in VirtualBox on Windows 7. I'm currently running Snow Leopard, which is proving to be quite unstable. That mostly has to do with the fact that Snow Leopard was never intended to run on an Ivy Bridge Core i7. It works for the most part, but there are some things that don't work, such as Shutdown and Restart. Both crash the virtual machine.
That's actually what is holding me up on upgrading to 10.9 Mavericks, which would solve a lot of the issues. I'm unable to restart the vm and complete the install. However, I should be able to get a hold of a bootable image from a friend of mine who has an newer iMac.

It looks like you only have a single USB slot?
The slot panel looks a lot different from my not-a-retina MacBook Pro. Which I tried to bootcamp Windows 8 beta, but failed miserably.

There is another USB port on the right side.

I see. I know I couldn't live with a single USB.
How's it running? In terms of random freezes, heating, Retina vs. normal, etc.?
