On December 7th the historic Griot's Garage in Tacoma, WA hosted a Caffeine and Gasoline event. The donuts and coffee were great! Oh the cars were good too! First thing first was the F1 cars. I had seen both these beasts at the Seattle International Auto show before but seeing them at Griot's Garage was much better, mainly because there isn't 10,000+ people in your way. I took some video of both the cars starting up and revving a little (don't forget to watch in HD). Any shaking was because I was moving or because I was trying to record with my phone also. That can be seen below along with a little bit of the shots I took from the event.

This many people (and cool cars) on a freezing Saturday morning?! Impressive and good to know there are still some hard core car enthusiasts out there!

The majority of the crowd consisted of the "older" folk. Didn't see so many youngins like at other shows like stancewars and what not.

As opposed to this?

Kinja'd!!!

I sort of agree, but not fully. The way they thought of F1 aerodynamics and everything in the 70's is cool to see.

My car prefers clearing speed bumps.

See I think that is stunning. I love the new variation of F1 cars. I'm disappointed I didn't know about this event until it was already 10am.

I saw them at the Seattle auto show, too. What really struck me was just how small they are in person, I was shocked.
