Yesterday I was going out to lunch with my girlfriend. We were outside clearing her car off when a guy in a Jeep Wrangler went by in the parking lot with his engine revving away. A couple minutes later he went flying down the parking lot again probably going 20ish and then hit ice or something and slammed into the curb in the turn at the corner of the lot. I should have taken a pic, but didn't think about it.

I'm fine with hooning, but be smart about it. A full parking lot at an apartment complex is not the place to hoon...

Mudders + snow = no traction

They looked like the stock tires actually.

Crappy oe tires+snow+revving the piss out of it=negative traction

All that + curb = sudden traction

I just wish he had been in a small car so he could have totally trashed it. As is he probably screwed up the alignment at least.

I agree wholeheartedly. But I also love when idiots fail without hurting anyone :-)

Maybe next time you see him, you have a camera ready? Personally I like to hoon after hours in business parks.

I own a Jeep, they can take a beating, unfortunately.

I had a 'friend' in high school do something similar in an almost empty (wasn't the brightest kid but at least he waited till most of the lot was clear) parking lot. He ended up smashing the rear end of his Honda on a curb stop and bent the rear control arms and went all Back to the future style on the wheel. It was hilarious.

Sudden traction is never good.

Nope especially when the engine is trying to spin all the wheels.
