I'd probably want to put on wider wheels/stickier tires, upgrade the brakes and brake lines, put a stiffer suspension under it, add thicker swaybars, add power, etc. While all of those things, in my opinion, would make the car more enjoyable to drive, they would definitely lower the resale value.
Everything is improvable. Even if we're just talking about putting more modern technology on a 20+ year old car.
