Long day spent photoshoppin' so I rewarded myself with a little late night fun.

All right, so its not technically a closed course. But before you yell at me it was empty and I always do a slow lap first to make sure everything is clear (people and cops). All in all successful day … one of many shops' ….

Ha good, you have a FRS you better be drifting.

I am impatiently waiting for snow so I can go drift and not feel guilty about wasting rubber. Tires is 'spensive.

I am trying to waste as much rubber so that way when I get new wheels I won't feel so guilty about wasting rubber. Usually I like parking lot shenanigans when it is wet, but I said why not and did it anyway today.

But I'm glad you at least get out there and use the thing, there are too many sporty cars that don't even get driven hard in this world.

Cool beens. I am a bit north in st. Clair shores. I always assumed it would be covered by the boarder patrol at night. I never bothered going because I don't have a car suitable for pavement hoonage. I'll keep it in mind if the city doesn't end up selling it off.

Dude that is too cool! I'm seething in jealousy. How fast do you go? I mean, how fast would a person like yourself go if they had a crossfire and wanted to stretch their car's legs? I know you yourself don't participate in any form of high speed cornering as you are a law abiding citizen who obviously is incapable of having fun while doing so safely... because street racing is always dangerous... right?

Open racetrack... I'm confused how that works? Did they turn an old racetrack into an actual street? That sounds amazing!

In the summer they close it down at night, otherwise it would turn into a big ghetto party. But during the colder months there are few cars out there at night and the police stop patrolling at like 1am or so. I have been taking advantage of that for all four years of college.

But like you've stated that sadly might all change very soon.

While I want to be like 'oh heavens no sir' … times like now when its cold, there is no one out there at night and the police stop patrolling at like 1am. So myself and a few of my friends have done 9/10's driving out there a bunch. I've actually hit a 100 on the straights but VERY rarely do any of us do that, because well its just stupid.

Most the time we just cruise the straights and then attack the corners.

Well 95% of the year its just Belle Isle in Detroit, but for a week or so during the summer they turn it into a road course. But obviously the red & white corners stay all year.

During the colder months there is no one out there at night, and police quit patrolling at 1am or so.

I might take advantage of that from time to time.

It is, but unfortunately, it might all change soon. With Detroit's bankruptcy and all that, the park is going to be turned over from the city to the state as soon as next month I believe.

Those will be sad, sad times.
