It may not be my favorite car, and I may make fun of it a lot, but it was good fun in the snow. Bald OEM economy tires aren't great in the snow, so I think I maybe placing an order for better shoes soon.

Our wives would get along. That's what she wants.

Why do you make fun of a BRZ?

Let's see. A somewhat tail happy, rear wheel drive car, bald (by your statement) tires and an inch of snow. Yep, I'd drive my wife's newish car about five feet out of the driveway and stop too if I was you. A call to the Tire Rack is in your immediate future, I'd think. Put some snows on some steelies and you're good to go.

She must have a nice life insurance policy.

It's just really soft and squishy compared to my other cars. It's the first car I have cornered hard enough in to crack a tail light lol... the chassis just needs a lot more stiffening.

Lucky her! She must be a happy wife, at least behind the wheel :P

Well I actually took it into town, so I drove it about 30 miles to go get some supplies without issue.
I already have some tires on order, but I think I am going to shuffle it around and get some dedicated snow tires if we get much more.

Meh, I drove my S2000 year round in the snow, and even my motorcycle some years. It's just snow.

Yeah, I bought it for her to get her more friendly toward my Datsun build. She loves it, and doesn't race, so the issues I have with it don't bother her.

I meant you on her... letting her drive it on bald tires on snow.
Sorry, bad joke.

Ah. She doesn't drive in the snow. I usually drive when we are both in the car, and she just works from home when it's just her and the weather is bad.

Your a braver man then me. No way I'd drive my wife's new BR-Z in the snow, and I live in N.W. Ohio, so I'm no southern bell when it comes to driving in the white stuff.

These cars actually do better than people think. It's a lot like the S2000 in that most people assume they will do worse than they really do simply because every video they see of the cars is them sliding around. The weak like is certainly the tires... they are garbage new, and these have over 20,000 miles on them now, so they don't have much tread to work with. Can't wait for the new tires to get here.

What the hell do you normally drive? Fred Flintstone's car?

Lately I do most of my commuting on my Ninja 1000. It was my S2000 that was prepped up, but now that has been replaced by a built 240Z with an SR20DET swap that has been braced, rewelded, undercoated, and partial cage.

I think your Jalop meter is off the charts.
