Not only do I F5 Oppo, but I'm a redditaholic.
And tonight, I come across a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that starts with this:
...And while there are plenty of peeps in there that are more than sympathetic (the guy who says he refuses to sticker BroDozers who haven't adjusted their headlights after lifting their trucks is particularly good!), there are a fair amount of people who think that it is their GAWDGIVEN AMERICAN RIGHT TO BLIND WHOEVER THEY DAMN WELL PLEASE.
And they do so in a way that they likely think is well thought out and reasoned, but looks an awful lot like trolling.
"Ooooh, don't hate the drivers hate the trucks!"
Uhhhhh, the drivers are the ones paying for the 'upgrades', they are responsible for adjusting EVERYTHING to make sure it's legal. Ignorance of the law does not, in any way, make you exempt from it.
Yes, I fed a few trolls, and my inbox is likely to be filled with BroRage(tm) by the time I finish this post.
What doth my fellow Opponauts think?

Particularly helpful for people in low cars. I am blinded everytime I see an SUV.

I'm driving a minivan, and it sucks just as much, bhai !
My favourite is driving on country back-roads and coming across people that won't turn off their high-beams after a few flashes. After turning on mine then getting into the ONCOMING LANE, those high-beams get turned off REAL fast.

Indeed - real trucks are dirty!
There were quite a few mentions that new trucks, right out of the dealership, are badly adjusted and don't account for truck boxes, fifth-wheel hitches, and so on.
Owners don't realize, and in a lot of cases, don't care. That's what gets my hate.

I want to carry around one of those million candlewatt spot lights around so I can shine it in the brodozers around my town. I think that would just get me run over though as they love "rolling coal" down main street and by all of the bicycles on the streets.

I agree and I hate aftermarket HIDs, usually on 90s Accords.

Unless it presents a clear and illegal safety hazard, I say pucker up and deal. Some folks don't like my buddies straight pipes. A few copper types have even tried to bust him on it, but it's within the legal limits.
If it's within the legal limits, I'd say that anyone who has an issue needs to get active in changing those legalities. If it's a violation of the law, I'd say the owners need to fix their shit.
In the wheelhouse of; If it's legit, fuck it. If it's illegal, fuck y'all.

It generally is illegal, unless one is in a state that doesn't regulate height, which sucks for those getting blinded.

They addressed that in a sub-thread as well - a lot of the JDM/ricer/ooooh, look-at-my-ballin'-commuter-car type put HID's in the reflector housings which actually puts out less usable light than the original halogens, instead of shelling out the ~$150 or so for proper projector housing. Not to mention that their annoying as all fuck.

That rollin' coal thing is fucking stupid. I have no words to properly describe my rage.
My buddy put a 65W worklight under his bumper to replace the functionality lost by his reverse-light switch in his tranny breaking. that does the trick for tail-gaters, which are just as dangerous as oncoming blinders.

Woah, bhai? Are you in anyway related to India?
I was on some backroads the other day, and whenver someone would pass me I would be blinded, which is pretty annoying when there are some turns coming up.

I've been learning some Punjabi from my co-workers, plus I've learned some Gujarati and Hindi from some of the audaciously hot Indian girls I used to work with. Otherwise I'm as white as it gets! :-)
If you're ever on backroads with someone ahead of you blazing their highbeams, just put yours on and move into their lane - it should clear that up real quick.
Of course, make sure you have plenty of space ahead of you, blahblahblah...

It's every bit the young boy behind the wheel (and it's always some post-adolescent male youth with inadequacy issues and daddy's money who drives those things) who is responsible for the stigma around bro trucks. Any derision they receive is well earned.

Punjabi is fairly useless to learn, this is coming from someone fluent in it(kind of). 99% of people that speak Punjabi can speak Hindi, but Punjabi is a much more warring language!!
Well if I do get in a crash it would get rid of the headlight problem.

From a general stand point, that may be true, but from a local/social standpoint, I prefer to learn prevalent languages, instead of being forced to learn French when I was a kid.
I would have much preferred and of the South Asian languages or Nordic/Germanic languages, as they have more relevance, and in the case of living in a place like the Fraser Valley, Punjabi can be very useful indeed, as it's definitely the prevalent non-English language!
The same thing obtains here in Saskatoon, although beside Punjabi there is Hindi, Gujarat, Pashto/Urdu and many other that are structurally similar, as they all share roots not only with Hindi/Sanskrit, but Farsi as well!
As it stands, I know more Punjabis than I do any other South Asians, so it's a matter of exposure as well.

hahaha as dangerous as that may be, i applaud you for it
My brother and I both drive Rangers, both with BackRacks. He's actually gotten around to mounting up rear lights, i've been lazy about it. They're mostly for quick night work (We both work as builders in the summer), using the truck as a mobile work light. They are also very handy when people behind you wont turn off their damn highbeams :D

I thought about doing that with my ol' Isuzu, but all of the KC's were loaded with aircraft lights. No shit, 130W H4 bulbs. Yes I checked. All five of them.
I thought better of it once I checked them, let me tell you - I didn't want someone else crashing on my conscience.

Hi ZadtheInhaler...
but honestly, if it isn't illegal, then you need to deal with it..

i think his are just some cheapo harbor freights right now. his fronts are no joke though (mounted just below his headlights on his brush bar). you can feel the heat on those from a couple inches away

So you think it's absolutely OK to be a road hazard to others? You agree that it's a good thing to have dangerously mal-adjusted headlights to suit your tastes on your vehicle? If the health and safety and others aren't a concern, and if someone crashes because they couldn't tell where the road was because someone put HID's in reflector housings instead of projector housings, or did a 6+" inch lift on their truck and converted it from "annoying" to "blinding"?
I like Trucks. I like cars. I like that I have to opportunity to modify them. But laws are there for a reason; traffic, vehicle safety and driver education all matter.
But if you think that dangerous vehicle modifications are OK, and I just need to "deal with it"?

I dont think its okay but until laws are enacted against it, there ia nothing that can really be done. You have to put up with it.I hate it. I can barely see when they get behind me. But since I know I have no authority on it, I make do simply by changing lanes, pulling over for a few seconds, or turning down a side street.

Fair point, but that's a very short term solution. If I were you, I'd petition my local/state government to change the law/s to help keep roads safer.
