Kinja'd!!!

I took my nightmare phone repair to Sprint today, told them exactly what happened, and they fixed the damn thing in 25 minutes.

I came back and picked it up. When I asked how much it was, he looked at me funny, and said, "Aren't you under warranty?" I said no. He said not to worry about it.

So, I'm now only out 25 days. Phone fixed properly for free.

My !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! is over. The end.

How have you not started setting fires yet?

What kind of phone, what were the symptoms? I bet you just forgot to put the battery in it, typical.

Edit: NVM, i skimmed all your posts about it. I'm sticking with my battery hunch, however.

Nope.. Well, not exactly.

I sent a two page email (with photos) to the franchise representative today, and the first line of her reply was, "Wow, I am at a loss for words."

I believe this repair will be the one they read about in newsletters and bulletins for years. The "HTC fuckup of 2013" they'll call it. Training manuals and procedures will be created to prevent these problems.
They will print my timeline and hang it on the wall, showing an example of what not to do.

I WISH the battery came out of it.

We can oinly hope they truly learn from this.

That first place is the type that gives all tech sales & service a bad name.

Yeah, i had a good experience when my iphone bricked after a year and a half. Took it to the store, guy looked at it. Brought it into the back room and emerged 10 minutes later.

"well....uh...we're not really sure what happened. Uhm. We can tell you've taken really good care of it, so even though the warranty expired we're just going to give you a new one. Because we're not sure what happened."

Awesome. I bought another iphone when it was time to upgrade thanks to that customer service experience.

In my experience, Sprint is great in cities and terrible everywhere else.

It would be amazing if they hadn't stalled out their LTE plans. Jeez guys, metro's had LTE for a few years in my area now, and your expansion started a few years after that. When are we gonna get it? After all the other carriers have switched to LTE-A? Hurry up!
