I say that only because he wasn't spending a half a second in each gear and then shifting. Plus, it's probably still pleasant to drive on the street as is.

If he was spending half a second in each gear, it would be terrifyingly impossible to drive. I don't know, just comparing it to other high power cars I have seen daily driven/run in the 1/4 mile it seems low geared. As an example, check out this much faster GTR Speed Hunters just featured:
