Kinja'd!!!

In some dashcam video forever ago, I saw a Murano set up for tall/US style plates, but using a wide/Euro one instead. For the life of me I can't find a picture of it, but it was hideous that way. Do you know of any that are worse?

Not necessarily worst, but when I owned my e39, the American plate on the rear just looked out of place. The euro decklid just looks right on the e39.

The Ontario plate on the front of my old man's '75 Capri with the fibreglass air damn looked so weird the OPP stopped bothering us about running the Germany plates on it once we showed them photos of how hideous it looked. Not to mention the fact that it vibrated and made horrible noises as it sawed through the paint.

This plate frame placement makes exactly zero sense

I have always hated the license plate holder on the Focus ST and it makes no sense...

Nice Capri and some lovely Sierras in the back ground.

I'm not a big fan of the British plate in the same place either, but the location on the Fiesta ST also doesn't sit right for me either.

Silly photo bombing Merkurs.... They put the Merkur/Sierra group right behind all the Capris.

It could of been worse. They could of put them in front. I do like a Capri, but I also like a three door with a whale-tail.

sad thing was, none of the 10 or so Merkurs there had a whale tail. There was a Cosworth Escort parked not far away though.

Very nice motor. I shall see the Escort and Sierra with whale tails and raise, one Capri with whale tail.

ah got it. Don't know if I like the whale tail on the capri.... Very different from what im used to. Maybe if it went further back on the car. This is what I grew up seeing on capris. 2 of the three that my father owned had them.

Thats nice, subtle but still with purpose. Some tails can be way too much, but thats pretty sweet.

One beef I have with this particular one is the fact that its made of rubber. Many hours have been spent with the black shoe polish there. It is, or at least, was, over the counter Ford. Same as the flares and air dam.

Ye', the rubber spoilers were quite a thing back then with Ford. Thankfully the shoe polish isn't needed any more. So many other products on the market that do the job easier, faster, better and protect like Gtechniq T1 or C4 or CarPro Perl and DLux.

Ah. The car hasn't seen the light of day in almost six years and at the time I was using what was left of a kiwi boot polish kit in a milk crate full of detailing stuff. That reminds me, we are putting the engine back in this winter!

I've done the old boot polish a few times or smooth peanut butter (wipe on and then wipe off, makes the rubber look great and smells quite nice also). Then I found a certain British detailing forum and never looked back. Good luck with the engine mate, make sure you wrap up warm.
