Looks like an old (I think 2006) Giugiaro concept. A lot.

I really wish the new mustang was a bigger departure from the current one. That combined with the ugly rear and the car seeming miles off the ground in the front...

Ok so the taillights might not be the same, and there might not be any black, but the greenhouse shape and hips are reaaallly similar

Agreed, I really like the current one. Especially in the meaner trims - gt500, boss, etc.

Not to mention mustangs have one of the best sounding exhaust notes. I'm not a huge mustang fan, but hell nobody can deny that.

Yup. There's a clear evolution from the Giugiaro Mustang to the current one to the upcoming one, especially with the trapezoidal grille and the strong character line crease passing through the door handle.
