I drove a Range Rover Hybrid today (written review out tomorrow) and recorded this video of me trying to run it as an EV only.

It's meant to run on its electric motor up to 30mph but in reality you have to go really slow.

The upside is the electric motor combines with the diesel V6 normally which gives it 500lb ft torques of POWER.

Not surprising. Europe understands diesel better; it's not yet really caught on here in the US yet. Big SUVs are perfect applications for diesels, but only a few (VW, BMW, Audi, MB) offer their US models with oil-burners.
