Hurst $150
or a white ball knob? $30
Im not looking for performance, just styling, but short shifting would be a plus, which comes with the price.

The Hurst. It's amazing. one of the shortest shifters I've rowed (my dad has the Billet one in his '08 GT) Getting into first is a little stiff, but 2-3 and 3-4 are absolutely amazing.

Well if you mainly want looks, spending the extra $130 seems unnecessary.
I need Hurst to make a short throw for my car.

Neither: get an MGW. There is no other short-shifter to get for a Mustang. Period. It's not a matter of opinion, it's fact.

I would think the short throw would be nice in the city. I mainly want a short throw for 1st to 2nd.

Is it worth it for just driving in the city? I dont have any local circuits for track days.

I had the Hurst in my S197. I liked it, but depending on your year, I have heard the newer ones don't play so well with the Hurst.

Honestly have no clue about the 6ers but I don't think it would be all that much different.

Period. Had both Hurst and MGW. MGW wins.

Nah, If you're in city stop-and-go traffic, you'll get get tired of it. I'd just get the ball if you're city driving.

I have put a short shifter in every car I've had since the first time that I put one in my car. (Bad sentence grammar is bad.) And I will continue to put a short shifter in every car I get. You don't know what you're missing. And, it should be more super good, being that it's in a real rwd transmission.
And, as someone else mentioned, go with the MGW.

Definitely Short Throw over just a white ball, be it Hurst or MGW. I put a hurst in my DD ('12 Challenger RT) and would never go back. And the Hurst costs about twice as much for the Challenger then the Mustang, still worth it.
