I've been waiting for the dub of 3.33 to watch it! I've watched the entire Eva series in dub so it would be wrong to suddenly watch one in sub. I can't wait till february!

Wait. I understand the Eva series, The End of Evangelion. Then they put out Eva 1.1, 2.2, 3.3 or something like that which I thought was a mildly remastered, edited version of the series.
This looks completely different from the original series. So is there yet another series of 1.11, 2.22, 3.33 that is a different storyline from the original series and the 1.1, 2.2, 3.3? Am I confused on this concept of thinking there are two series, x.x and x.xx?

The rebuild movies are a completely different story from the original story. Actually they take place afterwards (It would take a long time to explain, just trust me). So the chronological order is something like.
Neon Genesis Evangelion (TV Series)
End of Evangelion
1.11
2.22
3.33

No need to explain them other than they are completely different movies. I'll have to get them after all. I hadn't bothered with them because I thought they were mild re-edits of the original series.
I also thought there were TWO reboot series, one with a 1.x title and the other with a 1.xx title. Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm up to the 9th episode of Spice and Wolf. Cute story, I like it. I might have to buy that. Anime of economics and romance - who woulda thunk it? I'm not sure of your "#1 best anime ever" opinion of it though.

Oh no! I never said that it was the best anime ever! I said that it was my favorite! My favorite doesn't necessarily mean that it's the best, it just means that I really enjoyed it. No, as far as best anime ever, that might have to go to something like Fate/Zero, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Monster, or Clannad After Story.

Also 1.11 is just a re-telling of episodes 1-5. 2.22 is where it starts to change.

oh that's where I got the impression that the reboots were mild edits. And then thought 2.22 retold eps 6-10, 3.33 retold eps 11-15, etc
re: S&W: Sorry. I don't listen well. Although defining "favorite" and "best" is a pretty thin line, isn't it?

Watching Spice and Wolf, I can appreciate how guys/otaku want to have cute anime girlfriends. I certainly wouldn't mind a cute girlfriend with furry triangular ears and a bushy tail like Holo. And then her behavior reminds me of the downside too - Holo is a pretty high maintenance girlfriend!
