Here's a beautiful plane I bet none of you have ever heard of: Sud Aviation Caravelle. It even has a pretty name...'Caravelle'

I've come to the conclusion that Kinja straight up doesn't like me.

But you know what? BRING IT, SON!

That's never a safe bet round here. I was reading about early jetliners on Wikipedia just last week :)

Personally my favourites are the engine-in-wing jets of the era. The Comet's very beautiful.

Although it did have an unfortunate tendency to fall out of the sky, to start with.

I've got a bunch more. The Caravelle is one of my favorite types.

I figured you'd know about it.

It sits in a weird area of my brain where I forget about it then something makes me think of it. Usually the nose is what triggers it, but sometimes the triangle windows come to mind.

The comet made me think of it, both have the unbroken nose.

The comet gets a bad rap somewhat unfairly. Yes, it had a bad safety record early on, but it was a pretty easy fix. Of course it had such a bad stigma that even after fixing the problem (round windows), people didn't trust it.

I don't know about that. After the fix, it went on to sell plenty, and stayed in service for years. Must have won back a fair bit of confidence, at least.
