"Decay buys too many beaters" (decay)

Was walking through the woods with my family and came across this old wreck. Can anyone here identify what it is, I'm not very good with 50s to early 60s american cars.
*edit* I think it may be a 1960 Oldsmobile 88.

No idea, but that is cool. Is there a dirt road leading there? Looks like it crashed into the tree.

Ford Galaxie?
Edit: Some kind of Ford I think. Can't remember which.

Can already see the Craigslist ad now. "Ran when parked. Great project car. Needs only minor repairs. $10,000"

Actually, no. Middle of the fucking woods. I don't have any idea how it got there.

That tail light assembly rings a bell, but I can't quite place it argh. At first I thought it may be an Olds 88, but it's not quite the same. Definitely a GM product, probably somewhere around 1959-1965. As fins got more muted, tailights were mounted horizontally instead of vertically. A pretty common design cue for many early 60's cars.

The taillights are wrong, the car in the wreck had triangular lights.

That looks like the biggest tree there. Maybe it used to be farmland and the surrounding trees could be relatively new growth.

It was clever and I got the joke. And laughed a little. But I like Lancias too much to not defend them.

I tried calling, but they didn't pick up. Maybe if there was an area code
