Some of you may have seen the post I wrote about a week ago on how I was imagining my life with a 2000 Bentley Arnage if for some odd reason my parents approved the purchase, but here's a more reasonable approach. I'm looking at some 2005-2007 Lexus GXs right now. There's a ton that are sub-75,000 miles and sub-$25,000. Can I get ya'll input on this?

Oh and I found one that's in Tampa Florida that said it's rebuilt and registered but the "front seat and side curtain" airbags weren't replaced during the rebuild. So insert schpiel about how Florida registers anything with four wheels and insert picture of Bugs Bunny cutting off Flordia.

Maybe I'm biased because I happened upon the place the other day but you should make the trip out to http://www.jdmlegends.com/ in salt lake city if it is feasible.

I'm in love with the Crown Station Wagon that's for sale by them right now. But for $17,000. There are just a lot more newer and more reliable cars that I feel would be better for me using in college. I also love the 2000GT they sold.

I really want to own one of these one day. But I'll never be able to justify asking my parents to get me one as a utility car. I guess I'll have to wait until I'm old enough to invest in one myself :P I'll have mine in silver.

You might be able to get an S5 or a C63 or E63 as well. Not too long ago I found a 2007 E63 for 19K.

Boring as shit. A Lexus is a nice place to sit, and generally that's about all that can be said for them.

Dude, if you're in Florida, you should at BMWs. I went to school in Miami, and there was an awesome BMW scene all over the state. At least once a month I would drive somewhere for some kind of BMW event. Crazy good times.

That's like recommending somebody take up heavy drinking because there are a lot of AA meetings in their area.

My mom owns a 2010 GX. It's boring as all hell. The steering has NO feel at all. When you steer it's a guessing game as to where you have to put the wheel.

After this post, I actually started looking at the $14,000 ones that are from 2003-2004. We own a 2003 GX right now and it's been pretty reliable. There's a ton of old GXs here on campus in Oklahoma for some reason which is why I thought it was a good idea.

I'm studying out of state right now. For some odd reason there's only one FR-S on campus and there aren't any BRZs. But I just need a car that's relatively cheap and have a lot of space to hold stuff. Since Winter Graduation is coming up for a lot of people (not me I'm a freshman), I noticed that everyone is just selling back out their cars if they're out of state or country. So that's what I'm planning to do too. I've looked at rental Grand Caravans since they're cheap and hold stuff too.

I saw an E55 Wagon for like $21k a couple days ago I think, didn't know what was wrong with it. But I'm looking for something that requires little maintenance and have decent resale value in case I sell it instead of bringing it back with me to California. People sell their cars at like 12k here with 17k being the highest and I think a GX would fit all those descriptions and have the ability of me selling it at that price in 4 years.

My mom drives a 2003 GX. I drove it once and it felt like a boat and the brake pedals felt really weird (but they weren't broken x-x they just felt weird). I like it because it's reliable.

I am also a college student, and so far this car has caused me no problems, unless you are moving furniture or something, this car should give you no problems. Every month in gas I spend maybe 50 to 60 bucks, and I drive nearly everyday. The tires are cheap(if you aren't looking for added performance), it comes in an auto if you please(the manual is faster and more fun). Plus it is RWD, so fun can be had in the winter. Basically, this car is perfect. If you don't like something about there is a huge aftermarket to change that as well, so you can mod to your desire.

It's so tempting T-T Can they be had for under $20,000 right now? Actually maybe even lower, like $18,000?

I just checked. I found a couple FR-Ses around $19k and BRZs around $22k near home. I guess I'll have to wait a year or two before I can consider getting a car.

Just make sure, that you check when it was made. Some of the earlier ones had a few direct injector problems. Not saying you shouldn't buy those, but rather watch out for this problem and then fix it! How? Get a tune!
