We fried a couple birds again this year. Now that my father in law understands how to actually do the water displacement before pouring the oil in, it went much better.
He's never had a fire because he knows to turn off the flame when dropping the bird in, but he's spilled a lot of oil in the past.

Oh man. We just finished a deep fried turkey, deep fried stuffing balls, and the best ham ever. This is a terrible picture of that ham raw.

Heck yeah. 19 pound turkey in an hour, with little prep work (aside from seasoning and stuff).
Leftovers are gonna be awesome.
