So, up until a couple days ago, I had no idea these existed in real life.
A Cadillac Catera. God knows why even one was ever sold.
And also, one of the new Impalas
And damn do they ever look good in person, I didn't expect to like it so much. As someone that, if I had the means, previously wouldn't have even considered buying something that GM made, I'm rethinking that, these things are gorgeous

I have to agree with you with the new Impalas, they look great.
If they didn't brand the Catera as a Cadillac, it would be a bit more desirable.

The Omega B was actually quite a good car. The last of the RWD Opels! GM just botched it up when they tried to "Americanize" it. AFIK they did some minor changes which made the car worse, and they committed the deadly sin of marketing it as a Caddy. It's an Opel, a no-nonsense car, big, RWD, offering what in Europe is a large-ish car for mid-size money. It would have been a perfect Chebby or Buick.

Well I just learned that they were RWD. Cool, I didn't know they actually came from a good car

I saw a Catera for the first time too, a few days ago. I thought it was a Hyundai from a distance, imagine my horror as I got closer and saw it for what it was.

I saw an Impala a few weeks ago too. They do look good in person! Also, they are bigger in person.

The Omega's RWD? I never knew that. Really?
Where have all the lightweights gone?

They're deceptively big looking. I sat in one this year, and I couldn't sit upright I'm the backseat. This shouldn't happen to someone under 6ft. tall
