F Stock : This is a class where competitors who cannot drive well will try to get the faster cars moved out of the class so they might have a chance at a trophy. If it has a V8, rear wheel drive, and isn't a Corvette, it ends up here. This applies equally, even if the car in question is station wagon, a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! cab, or a Silver SN95 Mustang GT sportin a Cowl Hood driven by a man named Jeff.
This website is cracking me up:

At work, and my computer shit itself when I tried to open the 300+ page SCCA PDF. Could anyone help me out and classify my 2011 GT Mustang with cold air, flash tune, axle backs, tower brace, and 275 street tires on aftermarket rims (not super high performance, just wider than the 235 stocks).
I believe I am F stock but I'm not sure if the tires will move me. Thanks ya'll

I don't really care about the autocross classes, that is why I am buying so many mods. . . slowly. I just go for fun and to learn how to become a better driver, trophies are not the most important. Basically what I am trying to say is, I am no help.

I thought I had to sign up in a class? Otherwise I'm happy to just show up and they can stick me wherever.

Pretty sure the flash tune screws you, but I think it's the tires that really screw you.
I can take a look at the classing in a bit, I'll post back with the results.

This pushes you out of stock classes:
"Any type wheel may be used provided it complies with the following: it
is the same width and diameter as standard and as installed (including
wheel spacers if applicable) it does not have an offset more than ±¼”
(±6.35mm) from a standard wheel for the car. The resultant change in
track dimensions is allowed. Tire pressure monitoring sensors may be
removed.
Wheel spacers are permitted, provided the resultant combination complies
with the offset requirements of this section. Wheel studs, lug nuts,
valve stems (including pressure-relief types), and/or bolt length may be
changed.
Vehicles equipped with rims having metric specifications may use alternate
rims as determined by using the following procedure:
Diameter: converting the metric measurement to inches and using
the nearest smaller inch diameter rim.
Width: converting the metric measurement to inches and using the
nearest smaller ½” (12.7mm) width rim. Offset and track must still
comply with the requirements of this section."
Reading on to figure out what class you actually belong in.

Found it! This should help you decide. I just had a catback and a catted frontpipe so I was still stock, now with some headers I will be modified. With my crappy tires, I will still be slow lolololol

BTW, I believe f-stock makes an exception to wheel and tire sizes, they have to be oem options. For example a brembo pack 5.0 runs 255/40/r19's but those tires are much wider than the stock 9inch rims. The stock 255's are close to a 275 wide tire from another manufacturer. Also, as funny as that entry tries to be, its accurate, anything with a v8 and rwd that is not modded ends up in fstock, its a very competitive place to be second only to whatever class they run miatas these days.
S197 chassis destroys tires if its a very tight course, keep an eye on air pressure and let some out between every run, sweet spot on my old s197 for street was around 35psi, for tight courses I ran around 30psi as the tires heated up alarmingly fast. Say goodbye to tread life, and drive smooth, 3rd gear is useless unless you have 3.73+ gears. The s197 is a terror when driven on these courses properly. You can either drive the s197 like your hair is on fire, it will look and feel fast but be slow, or you can drive it with purpose, it will look and feel slow but will be fast....

Technically I have the RTR rims which were a Vaughn Gitten Jr. special package (along with aero stuff like difusers, wing, graphics, etc). Not sure if it was ever on Ford's main site but they were a dealer installed option http://www.mustangrtr.com/about.php which has a Nevada dealer in Las Vegas. Wonder if that counts as a factory option or if it is too specific

STU : The idea is to take a really nice expensive street car, make it uncomfortable and barely streetable, then not let it run DOT R's, so it'll go slower than the stock version of the same car. Motons are rumored to be worth 6 seconds in this class.

All I know is that our LeMons car is TCSP, which is hilarious once PAX'd out.

I think they do not count tuner special cars, those get stuffed in the ranks where the gt500 would reside.... I believe unlimited class.
