A while back I posted in one of the HotWheels/Matchbox trade discussions how all of my Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars had been stolen in a move. Well, not just mine but my fathers too which were passed down to me. I was posting the story because I want to start gathering a bunch of cars for my son who is now 10 months old and I was wondering if anyone had a large lot of cars for sale. Wasn't really looking for new on the card or even in great condition, just something for my little guy to smash and play with.

After reading my story, our very own BlazinAce offered to send me a care package....completely free.

There's a small detail there though, he lives all the way down in Brazil and I'm in the Metro Detroit area of MI, USA. Learning the distance I asked to at least cover the shipping, which he promptly refused.

I know he didn't do this for recognition and he's probably going to say I shouldn't have posted this but I had to share it with the OPPO/Jalopnik community. It may seem like a small thing to him, but it made a really big impact on my family, my mother (who still feels responsible for them being stolen...which she shouldn't) is the one who posted in the thread "brings tears to my eyes, so completely awesome... :-)". I've attached the picture of the 27 cars (all individually bubble wrapped!) and the 1 new on the card Hot Wheels he sent. I also am posting a pic from a Facebook thread from when we posted the story on Fbook last night(censored).

Once they are all unwrapped, I definitely will. Been busy at the house after traveling this past weekend and a furnace issue and of course...you know... a 10 month old lol.

I'm really just glad I was able to help with what little I had at hand, and I hope you guys enjoy the mix of cars, I tried to add a little of everything, you know, to cover all the bases. Diecast cars are a part of the car culture after all, amirite? ;)

It's similar to this firetruck his is winnie the pooh themed though, but yeah. it's helped a ton. He was barely standing up when we got it, now he can cruise across the room.
