I used to have an MNP2 Vspec 34. Truth is that my 33 Vspec was actually the better car to drive.

Interesting, is it anything in particular like the R34 being heavy or the brakes that were a little underpowered for the car. I mean personally my favorite of the Skyline GT-Rs is the R32, no real particular reason seeing as I haven't had the opportunity to drive any of them (I live in the US and don't want my car being crushed). I need to start saving because I feel like in the next few years there is going to be a flood of GT-Rs and what I really want is a Vspec or VspecII model (a 93-94).

the steering and gearshift in the 34 was very light, the 33 was quite the opposite. The 33 was very direct, but well weighted, and the gear shift was that of a bolt action rifle. The 32's I drove were light on their feet, but attessa and hicas were a little slow to react. Easy car to provoke understeer. The 33, the tech was bang on. Super accurate, and lightning fast, it went where pointed, but would not suffer fools. I could push stupid speeds in that car with total confidence, but it held a knife edge to it that let me know that I had to work for it. Phenomenal brakes. The 34, the tech felt like it had been wound back, and the intervetion point of attessa and hicas was much later. I love drifting, it's great, thats why I imported a 12' Boss 302. But being sideways in a GTR at 160km/h is not what I wanted, expected or paid for. It felt indirect, and not the scalpel that the 33 was. That's my take on it anyway.
