First to start off I personally think 2012 season was one of the best in the recent decade. I remember the Schumacher era, but I didnt have regular access to coverage at the time, so I can't comment with much detail. But I've watched every race starting with 2009 up until now. Personally the fact that 7 different drivers won the first 7 races of 2012, plus Alonso was a had his drivers championship that year for about 30 seconds with Vettel clinching the title in the last possible moment, make 2o12 season one of the best so far. In my opinion RBR 2013 season dominance is very similar to Brawn in 2009.
I might be just 2 days late, but I've worn the Internet chastity belt during that time until I could watch the grand prix without any spoilers. First off, did anybody watch the BBC coverage all the way till the end, am I the only one that thinks the song during closing credits could be used as the new BBC intro theme from now on?
Next up, again related to the BBC end credits, does anybody have an idea what documentary those few clips came from, when a womans voice starts describing the F1 V8 engine? I think so far most of us have seen the "Lift you skirts" and "Turbo era" documentaries online already, but that one seems to have alluded my attention.
On another note, I really feel it was unnecessary to give Massa a penalty, seeing how seconds later there was footage of Bottas doing the same thing while defending from Gutierrez, and how other (Webber) drivers were given warnings as well.
Now as far as seats for future season, does anybody feel like Hulkenberg should go to Lotus, instead of the rumored Maldonado taking Kimi's seat? I really can't stand Pastor at all, it's not even about the money, just his driving style seems appalling.
Also in closing I have a strong need to start cheering for somebody else rather than my usual HAM, Mercedes seems to have lost all their magic from the beginning of the season. I was a huge fan Kobayashi when he was at Sauber last year, and really thought he should've went to McLaren instead of Perez. So now I'm left with Hulk and the eccentric mumbler.
And to finish off on a more popular note, in words of strange long haired spaniel, does anybody else get a strange fizzing sensation at the root of their penis, when the cameraman shows an awkwardly long shot of Sutil's or Alonso's girlfriend?

I would like the Hulk at Lotus, didn't I read earlier on here that he had signed to Force India though? I'm rooting for Romain Grosjean next year.
I would definitely take the girl in the bottom picture.

I enjoyed the season, but here's what I though:
Mark should've won a race. I get that Lord Vettel drove better, but I still wanted to see Mark win at least 1.
Perez shouldn't be out his job. The car was crap. Button has been a consistent driver in his career, and even he couldn't do anything with the car. Perez was in a catch-22, and pulled decent results with what he had. Can't fault him there.
Hulkenberg needs the Lotus seat. He drove the wheels off of a crap Sauber, and he did it without trashing Sauber. I have SO much respect for him because he knows what he can do, and he's not cocky like HAM.
I don't like Maldonado much because, though he is a talented driver, he's a jerk in the car, and the line he took in Brazil wasn't the best. Speak freely, but the way he said it was rude. I'm not sorry to see Massa getting his seat.
I hope Caterham and Marussia get their act together. I understand that there will always be a last place car, but at the same time, I want to see them improving.

yeah he is going to Force, a team that has meandered around the middle for the past 4 years i've been watching.
and she's Dasha Kapustina, a russian model.

i thought for a minute, RBR would pull a sort of a multi21 stunt and let Mark win, but then i realized Vettel is a stats-whore, and that he was trying to get a season's 13th win, and 9th in a row, so that would never happen.

I started watching F-1 around 1987. Yes, '87. I'm not as old as some around here, but I've done my time. I watched Senna and McLaren dominate, Williams just destroy them with the active cars, Senna, Mansell, Schumacher, Hakkennen, Schumacher again, Alonso and Vettel. Lots of spells where one team and/or driver dominates. That is just the way of F-1 for the most part. A few odd ball years where there were a bunch of winners like last year. When years like 2013 happen, you just have to sit back and appreciate the skill involved.
Hulk and Bottas should be in better cars. I would love to see a resurgent Williams, but I have my doubts. I want Caterham to do better. ,force India continues to surprise, but it will be sad to see them ditch diResta. I think Alonso is going to beat up on Kimi. I like Kimi a lot, but I can see him ditching before the end of the year.

Oh of course. Vettel is becoming an F1 driver: there's a status quo at RBR now, and in Malaysia he showed that it's his team.

Maldonado is getting more and more annoying... Spins out closing trying to cut off (I forget who), then proceeds to deliberately get in Button's way despite not even being on the lead lap with him... What a turd.
Sad to see Webber go... I think he never really was able to show the extend of his potential. Hopefully he does well with Porsche.
Hulk DEFINITELY deserves a primo seat. To see a turd like Maldonado probably getting a contract before a good driver like Hulkenberg leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and easily illustrates how the management of money needs to change in this sport.
As much as I'm not a RBR fan, I've enjoyed watching Seb make history. That's what people will look back on in a decade, not how Webber could've done better or how Hulkenberg deserved a better ride or how the McLaren car was an utter dog - well...I'll remember that one. And probably Sutil and Alonso's GFs ;) I was actually pretty impressed because it seems in retrospect like Jennifer Becks was at every race weekend...I doubt my wife would even do that were I a driver... Excellent show of support.
