Yep, pretty much. But seriously, it's a Japanese RPG set in modern day japan and it's a mix between Final Fantasy (turn taking, you have a party of 4, however you do not have a whiny protagonist) and Pokemon (you collect personas and they determine your moves) with a really dark atmosphere. You had to stop a serial killer in the last game who killed his victims and then hung them from power lines.
