Got to finally make my first few turns in some powder for the season. Picked up my season pass and have a company holiday party at the distillery. Life is good. How is everyone else's weekend going. Here is some visually stimulation.

Just a little, maybe a few inches here and there. There is about a foot or foot and a half up in the mountains.

I hate living in Illinois. We don't have any snow and even if we did this place is so flat you couldn't snowboard anyway! :(

Spring break is the one time of the year I have a chance to go. I'm so jelly.

You could get snowmobiles and snowboard behind that like wakeboarding

Park City just opened today but it didn't look too good. Just a few little runs and then a jump and some rails. I headed over to Deer valley and did some bootpacking to get a few turns in

I have a psychiatry exam coming up Tuesday, but all I can think about right now is beating the 'Ring on a 70 Camaro in Race 07 an chillaxing on Oppo. Plus, everybody knows psychiatry is bullcrap invented to let people who can't stand blood graduate from medschool.

Park City? Like in Park City Utah? My sister worked there for some months a few years back, she'll be in Breckenridge this winter. Anywho, winter in the US won't help me much, I live in Norway :P

That. Would. Be. AWESOME!

Except for the part where you inevitably fall and get dragged face-first through the snow.

That's the one. Norway is probably a blast, never been but have always wanted to. Probably because I am close to half norwegian or something.

This makes me wonder (again) how many americans consider themselves to be of scandinavian heritage... Seems like one in five americans I talk to/meet claim to be of either Irish or scandinavian heritage :)

I'm down south, outside of St. Louis.

My dad's side of the family came from norway, but that was a long time ago. It's nothing I have ever looked in to or really cared about. It's not like we have family living there or follow any customs or eat the meals.

I just got back from a day of snowboarding, it was a blast to get the board back under my feet! Nailed almost all my lines too! Pretty good for the first day out and trying 5's and 7's!

Nice! I hit a little 2 foot tall jump that someone built fairly terribly and jumped a snowman. It was really nice to get out there and get the feel of the board again, even if it was my really old shit board that I might not touch again all year.

I had an almost new Burton love from last season I only rode at Park City for like 3 days and then broke the only bindings I had that would fir it. Then used my Salamon grip for the rest of the season so it went pretty much unused, just got new bindings for it so I can shred with it now

Nice! There are usually adapters so you can get anything to work on burton boards but it is a lot easier to deal with the normal pattern everyone else uses. I have an old Process with cartels on the channel system or whatever it is they call it. Fun board but I just bought a Slash ATV from last year that is coming in soon which should be a blast. My shitty board is an old Bataleon that I rocked for 4 years or something and has tons of core shots, missing edges, and split ends from smashing into trees or spinning out of rails to early. Still fun for a rock board that I can go run over whatever.

Well since I dont have many freinds I just sat here reading all about LS swaps and wiring harnesses and crap like that. Also I watch some cooking shows. I am I think just glad to be off work, but also bored and need some social time with not high schoolers who draw cocks on all the cars in the shop.

Yeah I just ended up buying a new pair of Malavita Wingbacks at the end of the season and threw them on this morning. The channel is a love hate thing. It's really adjustable but not as sturdy or stable as I'd hoped.

Mustang fox coupe. I want to do a 5.3 smog legal swap on a budget. All the ford motors seems to really suck at making power unless you go heads cam headers etc or super charged or turbo. I have considered 2v 4v windsor 5.0 Excluding the coyote which is too expensive. My car being a 4cylinder it would be just as hard to go ford small block and be way less power and cost about the same.

Where did you get the season pass for?

You need to make a point to take a ride up to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain. Both are very cool resorts and good skiing too. The lodges at Snowbasin are totally over the top. Heated sidewalks, huge timber framed lodges and plush carpet. Powder Mountain has concrete floors or astroturf carpeting and plastic lawn furniture. But the skiing is awesome and the whole vibe is really cool.

Got an epic pass at canyons. I definitely am hitting up one or both of them at some point. Powmow I have heard nothing but awesome about it. Haven't heard a whole lot about snowbasin but what I have heard is all good
