A picture shared on the WICU/SEE News Facebook page is causing some controversy for the Erie Police Department.

It shows a man sitting in an EPD cruiser holding a taser and a beer.
Chief Randy Bowers said he does not know who the man is, but he does know that he's not an Erie Police officer.
The photo was posted to our page on Thursday afternoon, with the caption "Erie police at their finest."
Right now the police department is looking into which officer drives the cruiser, and when the picture was taken.
Bowers said investigators are considering the possibility that the picture is photoshopped, but he hopes that if it is in fact real, the police officer responsible for the car didn't knowingly let it happen.
If the officer did, bowers said they would face "disciplinary action", but didn't specify since nothing has been proven yet.
Bowers said the most concerning part of the image is the taser. It looks like the tasers Erie Police officers use, but again, it's not certain.
"We're gonna try to back track on the origin of the photo, that would be the first thing, and see if anybody we know can help us identify the young man who's behind the wheel," said Bowers.
The Erie Police Department does have a strict social media policy in place, so if a police officer originally posted the photo they could face some serious penalties.
"It could be anything from written reprimand up to suspension, and depending on the seriousness of the violation, termination," said Bowers, but he added that "all of that is speculation at this point."
We reached out to the woman who posted the photo to our Facebook, but she has not responded.
Police are asking anyone with information about the photo to call them at 814-870-1120.

Lol. Yeah or instead of all that crap they could just maybe have a tiny sense of humor about it. Seems pretty harmless.

In all seriousness, I think it's a 'shop. No shadow cast from the flash under/behind his arm. Looks like the beer is a Yeungling(not 100% because potato), which is a local PA beer, but that could just mean someone local did the 'shop. Also, the guy's about 6'7" if he's actually sitting in the car like that(granted, he could just be leaning on the door, but his armpit doesn't look like it's touching the top of the door).

Gotta love good cheap beer. I used to drink Yeungling while living in Florida. They have decent distribution... I just wish they would sell the stuff in CT.
