Wouldn't the Unpopular Opinion Puffin work better in this scenario?

I've never been wild about the way the back end looks, and I really wish there was a long-hood version with an I-6, the better to rip off an E-type sort of spirit with.

Not a big I6, mind. Maybe a 2.4l or so.

Roger that.

I think you'll find Oppo to be tolerable of your Miata stance. Hell they let me in when I was DDing a PT Cruiser.

But that costs monies that I don't have, like if I could find one for a decent price with like 250 WHP I would be all over it. Just seems like everyone that has one like that likes it too much to sell it.

I agree with you. The miata is a wonderfully capable car and the modifications and support for it is nearly endless but it just doesn't interest me. Unless its a monster miata, then it has piqued my curiosity because who doesn't love a v-8?

Let me correct that last part.....Who doesn't love anything with a V8

Yes, but there are much better cars you can do that with.....hell make a pro touring Foxbody mustng

Yea, my next car isn't going to be fast though. I get in too much trouble now and I'm sick of constantly spending money under the hood just to keep it on the road. Next car is probably gonna be a G35 for me. Need a more reliable car for awhile.

I like it because it fits me well, but knowing that I also know that this car will not work for everyone. Hell, it won't work for most people. And while it fits me well, it doesn't fit me perfectly. I had to give up the ability to carry anything larger than a couple of suitcases, which I kind of wish I had from time to time.

Meh, I really like my Miata. I don't see me keeping it forever but for now it works. I don't have to drive people around, I can drop the top and take a nice leisurely, er fuck that, "spirited" drive in the mountains when ever I feel like it, my dog loves riding in it with the top down, I'm still in my 20's so practicality doesn't really matter.

They aren't for everyone, but everyone should spend a fair amount of time in one. To learn how to race there really isn't a better car to teach you car control. They are cheap enough to use as a track only car if you have the space and budget for it. If you have a spare $15,000 and a broken Miata a V8 of your choosing will fit right in. If you want to go FI you can make 225 horsies at the wheels on the stock motor with just your turbo/supercharger kit and a good tune.

But really they don't suit everyone and you are completely entitled to your opinion. But you really should spend some quality time with one.
