If you'd like to get your number onto my spreadsheet I'll need:
US-MPG-COMBINED (by dash or by hand)
Initially I was limiting it to one car, but if you have another car you drive frequently, feel free to throw it in the mix, as long as
you
are the one driving it, it is a oppo fuel efficiency survey after all.

I didn't look it up yesterday, but the EPA combined on my DD '87 Benz diesel is 24. Reported user numbers that they have are 28+, but mine struggles to beat 26 - lots of miles and needs some work.
The other two cars are down at the moment, one for some minor repairs and the other for a full overhaul and engine swap, and both pre-date any form of the clean air act, let alone the EPA. Oddly, though, they average between them (as-yet unmodified Ford Falcon, ~29, Land-Rover, ~18) pretty much exactly on 24, though those are more like highway numbers, both suffer at speed anyway so it wouldn't be far off).

Are we saying EPA or real world?
EPA says 30 combined, but I actually get between 28 and 29.

My calculated combined at the moment is at 26 mpg. Not bad for as little as I drive.

I seem to always miss your original posts. I'll get that average up a little bit I'm getting about 37 in a 2000 Civic CX.

2011 Mustang GT manual with a remapped ECU, almost exactly half/half city/highway driving, getting an average of 17.15 over the last several months. EPA combined estimate is 19. I usually mash the skinny pedal a couple times a day.

My 2011 RX-8 has averaged 18.1 mpg since I purchased it last summer. Just over 10,000 miles so far. Every tank of gas has been tracked on fuelly.com

My dash right now says 18.9MPG because I was hooning in the rain this morning. But on average I'm hitting low 32s.

That city mileage is a bitch! My 05 GT would routinely average 20 mpg with 4.10's but that was nearly all highway.

2005 VW Jetta TDI - 44.3mpg combined.
Not a trip goes by without at least 1 full throttle pull. Also sticky summer tires. I was getting ~46mpg before going from 195/65/15s to 225/40/18s.

If I really cruise lightly on the highway I'm in the 25+ range. On the other hand I frequently pull off stoplights, tunnel blast, downshift, etc. I blame my modified exhaust, it's just too damn sexy sounding to not be on the gas
