A simple motorcycle oil change somehow ended up turning into maintenance hell - Now I gotta waste more money bringing it to the dealership.
... I accidentally crushed the oil filter.
Thank God my K1500 is the only thing working. OTL

How did you do that?

Negotiations between an oil filter wrench, a tongue-and-groove plier and a Fram(?) broke down - I applied a little too much of pressure.

If it is too tight to get off with hand or OF wrench, drive a screwdriver through it (both sides) and it should come off. Have done that more than once. Works well.

I had to use a giant pair of channel-locks to get one off a car once. The screwdriver trick desertdog stated just messed up the filter even more. Good Luck.

Can't you unbolt the header on that bike to gain better access? It would at least let you get a die grinder or dremel in there to cut it off. Just don't damage the surface on the case.
