I know that my dad didn't buy me a $400,000, exceedingly limited edition hypercar as my highschool DD. Yes. It really is a student-owned LP-670SV. One of 186 produced.

This is isn't jealousy, I promise. It's complete and utter bewilderment at the parenting mindset that thinks "Of course my teenager should have a 670hp, 212 mph rocketship, in a country where he's totally unfamiliar with the driving habits of the locals."

We have a good amount of Chinese and Japanese exchange students at the community college I go to. There's at lease one GT-R, a few AMG C63s and some other expensive cars running around that are student "owned". I just shake my head.
