And a cop hiding in the bushes pulls you over for going 10-20 over the ludicrously low 55mph limit, he is probably a dick.

Now it wasn't me, so I shouldn't care, but I watched a Tundra get pulled over and he couldn't have been doing more than 75, which quite honestly is the norm for LIE traffic. Meanwhile, I'm getting cut off by people who can't even be bothered to signal.

Almost all 55mph highways need their speed limit raised. Half of those speed limits were made way back when, when 100mph was nearing the top of a cars range. It wouldn't be that absurd to see more 80/85mph speed limits in my opinion.

One of the things that baffled me with your US laws is that cops can write you speed tickets, without a black and white proof that you were speeding. I think here in Yurop(or at least in my country - Bulgaria), if they don't have proof of you speeding, like a radar shot or a camera picture, they can't tell you anything. So you could have been doind 150km/h in a 80 area and they couldn't tell you anything.
