The GT2 is like Porsche and its lawyers telling the world: "Come at me bro! Try and sue us because we made a bona fide lawyer/doctor/douche killer."

Lol.

Fun Porsche fact of the day - did you know they stopped importing the 911 Turbo to the US for a period of years in the 1980s because of possible lawsuits? People were suing because the car was "too dangerous".

Haha no I didn't know that, but I'm not surprised. I'm sure the same could be said for the GT2 and the GT2 RS because they're stupid powerful, RWD, and rear engined. Normally having only one of those things would be fine, but to combine them just spells out death.

How could anything go wrong? This is Kinja, where nothing can go wrong...go wrong...go wrong...go wrong...

One of the exec. VP's back in the 80's had tricked his 911 Turbo out with an adjustable boost (was that stock?) He had it mounted inside, and then moved it to the back of the car. His excuse was that he could just see himself sitting at a light when a pimply driver of some detroit iron came alongside, and wanted to do the challenge thing. He didn't want to do the smile, turn the boost to 7, and then hit the gas and have the engine jump out the back. So he said. That car was definitely the "I made it" car of the early 80's considering the parking lot at the time.

If you haven't seen the Porsche video released a couple years ago when the 997.2 GT2 RS came out go find it. The Porsche driver is so skilled. He drives the car around the track while talking to the camera and inducing oversteer. He drives the Widow Maker like it's a go kart. Awesome freaking vid.

Beauty. But I like my GT2's in 997 guise, with full red tequipment tail lights, roll cage, and matched to exterior paint wheels/OZ wheels.

Is that a 996 or a 997? Oh wait, it doesn't matter because all 911s look the same! Trololololololololololololumadbroyoloswagyolo. Seriously though, 996 or 997?
