Dear Kinja, please fix yourself.
I can see that I have shitloads of notifications, but you won't let me see them.

Hi Laird, can't see your notifications? Are you getting a 401 error when you click the 'See all notifications' jump?

In Firefox and Chrome it does give me a 401 error. In Safari it works like it should (but only when I click "see all") Have not tried IE since I don't have windows installed on any computer right now.

Thanks for clarifying. The 401 bug is something we're trying to fix but the solution has been elusive thus far. For the time being, refreshing the page after receiving the 401 should get you in there. Not ideal, but it's better than being completely locked out until a fix is live.
I'm really appreciative of the community's patience while we wrestle with this particularly annoying bug.

If you stop recognizing the problem then there is no problem. So cut it the fuck out! :)

Refreshing does not help if I'm honest, I get the same problem on several computers, tablets and phones as well as several browsers and operating systems :) refreshing does not fix things. Dumping/deleting my cache do fix things, but that's hardly an ideal solution. And remember, we're not mad at YOU or anyone else working on this. We're just a tad fed up with Kinjas rather childish behaviour :)

Well, if a page refresh doesn't work you're likely experiencing a completely separate problem, unless the issue has evolved into an even more dangerous entity.
When you hit the 401, what URL is your address bar sitting at?

But that wouldn't help Ernie and the rest of the crew fix Kinja would it? :) I suppose I could've just sent them an e-mail, but I forgot what the address was :P

I can't tell you actually, because now everything works fine. I'll do some testing the following days and see what comes up. I'll even try to run some debug scripts in my browsers and see if anything show up.

It's like if you close your eyes, did the world around you disappear? You don't know until you open your eyes... Which I guess is exactly like schrodingers cat.
If we stop complaining there is a problem, is there actually a problem??

I'm not completely sure we should go into a debate about this here on oppo :P Sure, we can't know for sure if anything is real if I can't see it/hear it/feel it, unless it is something we already know. The first and second WW is something I can't see or hear, but there's no denying it happened.
Sorry, not exactly what you meant :P
I guess you've heard the one about Heisenberg and Schrödinger?
