Wes has a brief write up on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! about the forthcoming Honda Valkyrie.
Look at that picture. That is not a Valkyrie. For the unfamiliar, the Valkyrie was a cruiser offered from 96 to 03 using the GL1500 carbureted flat six. It had cruiser styling, including chrome, an exposed engine, round headlight, and as relaxed a riding position as you could get, considering they still had to fit a 6 cylinder in front of your toes.
That thing they are trying to push on us now is not a Valkyrie. It's a Rune
The Rune was a highly stylized show piece that they put into production. Full of swoops and covers and pudge. So much style over substance.
This new bike is the new Rune, pushed even closer to the Goldwing. It has lots of plastic covering side mounted radiators, concealed exhaust, trapezoidal LED filled headlight, black plastic grab rails.
In my head, all I can think is that it's disgraceful, Honda. Just stop it.
Somebody tell me I'm wrong.

My dad had a Valkyrie...it was a monstrosity. I remember getting rides to baseball practice during the summer.
That thing you posted is more of a locomotive than a Valkyrie.
